West Hartford location closing permanently in June 2023

The New England Food Allergy Treatment Center (NEFATC) – West Hartford will be closing on June 23, 2023.  Patients undergoing oral immunotherapy (OIT) build-up or needing follow-up visits have several options.

  • Transfer your care to the New England Food Allergy Treatment Center Boston/Quincy, MA. Quincy location information is available on our website contact us page. The Quincy office phone is (617) 984-5228.
  • Transfer your care to the CT Asthma and Allergy Center, West Hartford location, and be seen by Dr. Factor and Dr. Lee. You can reach their office at (860) 232-9911.
  • Follow up with your current local allergist for annual blood work, skin testing, epinephrine prescriptions, and school/camp forms.

Records of treatment to date will be forwarded from NEFATC West Hartford to the practice identified by the patient.

Phone calls (during and after hours) for patients with questions or issues need to call the office where they have established their OIT care.

For patients interested in initiating OIT for the first time, or just learning more about the process, they can schedule a consultation/intake visit with Dr. Marge Vallen in the NEFATC Quincy, MA office or at CT Asthma and Allergy Center initially with Olivia Dellostritto PA.

We apologize for any inconvenience associated with these changes, but want to be clear that patients and their families will still receive the best possible care and attention that they received over the months and years at NEFATC – West Hartford.

We understand that you may have further questions. You can reach us by email frontoffice@nefoodallergy.org

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Factor, MD and Jason Lee, MD
